CleanClip.

Copy the content. Keep the structure. A local-only browser extension for cleaner text.

Less cleanup after every copy.

CleanClip transforms copied website selections into plain text, Markdown or safe rich text. The pure transformation core works independently of browser APIs, and the popup lets you compare the input and cleaned output before copying.

Useful structure stays

Paragraphs, headings, nested lists, basic tables, links and code. Remove fonts and colors, tracking parameters, invisible characters and recognizable chat citation artifacts.

Your workflow, your settings

Plain, Markdown, Writing and Developer presets, custom toggles, keyboard commands and copy confirmations. Automatic cleaning is off by default and requires explicit website-access permission.

Local by design

No analytics, no network calls and no clipboard history. Only preferences are stored on your device. TypeScript, React, Vite and Manifest V3, with 56 unit tests and unpacked-browser checks in Chrome and Edge.

Release status: v1.0.0 is available on GitHub. Submitted to the Chrome Web Store; review is pending. Store installation will become available after approval.

To try it now, download the Chromium ZIP, extract it and choose Load unpacked from your browser’s extensions page. Full installation and privacy details are in the repository README.
