Status: free v0.3 release candidate for Windows and browsers. It is not on Steam yet. The planned Steam price is €12; there is no store page, release date or wishlist link, and the final price is confirmed only when Steam publishes it.
Is it on Steam?
Not yet. There is no Steam store page, so there is nothing to buy or wishlist today. This page will link to Steam only after Steam has published the store page.
How much will it cost?
The planned Steam price is €12. This free release candidate stays playable here in the meantime. Steam sets final regional prices when it publishes the page.
How long is it?
Six evenings with four investigations each day plus visitors. We have not measured a first-time playthrough yet and will not guess a number.
What kind of horror is it?
Dread, uncanny cardboard sets, knocking at the door and difficult conversations. No combat, no chase sequences and no timed choices. Themes include a missing parent, grief, identity and confinement.
Do I need to be online?
No. The Windows build runs offline and keeps its saves on your PC. The browser version saves in your browser.
What do I need to run it?
Windows 10/11 64-bit for the download, or a desktop browser with WebGL for the browser version. Keyboard and mouse. A controller is not supported.
Is it accessible?
Sound captions, larger dialogue text, reduced motion and grain, keyboard-only play and no timed decisions. We have not yet tested with screen readers on real hardware, so please tell us what fails.
Windows says the app is unrecognised.
The release candidate is not code-signed. Extract the whole ZIP, then run DontComeHome.exe, and choose “Run anyway” only if you trust the download from this page.
